  1. Instructions for Y2K Tester 
  2. (IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU PRINT THIS)
  3.  
  4. After completing the installation from the Smart-CD browser, you will
  5. need to run Y2K from DOS. * * IT WILL NOT RUN IN WINDOWS * *
  6.  
  7. TO EXIT TO DOS:
  8.  
  9. From Windows 3.1 [Program Manager):
  10.     Click FILE
  11.     Select EXIT
  12. You will get a message: 
  13. ëThis will end your Windows sessioní
  14.     Click OK
  15.  
  16. From Windows 95:
  17.     Click the START button
  18.     select SHUT DOWN
  19.     select RESTART THE COMPUTER IN MS-DOS MODE
  20.     then press YES
  21.  
  22. YOU SHOULD NOW BE IN DOS MODE
  23.  
  24. Your prompt should look similar to C:\> or C:\WINDOWS>
  25. (If you are not on your C: drive, type C: then press [ENTER])
  26.  
  27. At this point, type CD\SOFTUSA\YEAR2000 then press [ENTER]
  28.  
  29. Your prompt should now say C:\SOFTUSA\YEAR2000>
  30.  
  31. To run the program type 2000 then press [ENTER]
  32.  
  33. Read the agreement - press Y if you agree, or N if you disagree
  34. (If you select N, the program will terminate at this point.)
  35.  
  36. Follow the instruction on-screen as the program runs.
  37.  
  38. After the program has finished, and you are at the 
  39. C:\SOFTUSA\YEAR2000> prompt you can safely turn off your computer, 
  40. or return to Windows by typing WIN and pressing [ENTER]
  41.  
  42. (If Windows does not re-start, type CD\WINDOWS and press [ENTER] to change to your
  43. Windows directory, and type WIN and press [ENTER] at the C:\WINDOWS> prompt.)
